'Due vite' is currently #3 on the Italian Top 50 on Spotify and is the most watched performance from Sanremo 2023 (not including Blanco's interpretation of 'L'Isola delle Rose').
The song is about how a couple cope with the ups and down of life. Lyrically it explores the bond two people share, being together for happy moments but also despair and the beauty of chaos. In essence, 'Due vite' is about living in the moment of a relationship and cherishing it.
Marco has lead the pack each night of the festival, topping the leader board and winning the converted cover night with his take on The Beatles 'Let it Be' accompanied with a fully fledged British Gospel choir called The Kingdom Choir.
Marco is a familiar face to Eurovision, winning Sanremo in 2013 with 'L'essenziale' and going on to finish 7th at Eurovision for Italy. Ten years after his performance, many fans still consider 'L'essenziale' one of the best Italian Eurovision songs of all time - performing very well in fan polls globally.
It's to be noted that the winner of Sanremo will not necessarily go onto to represent Italy at Eurovision 2023. A decision is sometimes made on stage, shortly after the show or days later. It is up to the winner. In all circumstances follow us here at Aussievision to stay up to date with the latest news.
