Israel: Final four artists selected in X Factor for Eurovision 2022
Over the last five weeks 17 acts have been battling it out to win 'The X Factor Israel' to get the chance to represent their nation at Eurovision 2022 in Turin.
The final four artists have been selected they are:
Inbal Bibi has competed on 'The X Factor Israel' before back in the first season in 2013/2014. She finished in 5th place after her performance of 'Oops!... I Did It Again' by Britney Spears. At this years X Factor she is in the girls category mentored by Israeli rock musician Aviv Geffen.
Sapir Saban is best known as the winner of season four of 'The Voice Israel' in 2016/2017. She is competing in the girls category mentored by Aviv Geffen.
Michael Ben David
Michael Ben David is a X Factor newcomer. He is competing in the boys category mentored by Netta, Israel's Eurovision 2018 winner. During Eurovision week he sang Israel's 1976 entry 'Emor Shalom'.
Eli Huli is a finalist from season four of 'The Voice Israel' in 2016/2017. He has been competing in the boys being mentored by Netta.
Each of the four finalists will now be handed two songs each which they will perform to be potentially Israel's Eurovision 2022 entry. The songs were selected from a public submission by a six-member committee in a process that began late last year.
Sunday night (January 30) the eight selected songs will be revealed. The public will get the opportunity to vote on one of two songs given to each finalist. The voting will take place online.
Thursday Night (February 3) a special selection show 'HaShir Shelanu L'Eurovizion' will take place where each finalist will be performing both of their songs.
One of the songs from each finalist will be selected by the public, the judges and a professional committee. The voting will be split with 50% public vote, 25% from the judges and 25% from the professional committee. The winning song from each finalist will go on to the final show.
On February 5 the final show, 'X Factor La'Erovizion', will be held to select the winner, who will go on to represent Israel at Eurovision. The voting will be split with 50% public vote, 25% from the judges and 25% from the professional committee.
