Georgia chooses their representative for Junior Eurovision 2021


Georgia has chosen Nikoloz Kajaia to represent them at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in December in Paris.


10-year-old Nikoloz was the winner of their national selection show Ranina and beat two other singers Gega Shonia and Barbare Makhatadze. The winner of Ranina was chosen by 100% jury vote and the format started with ten contestants, with five making it to the semi and then three to the grand final.


The song that Nikoloz will sing in Paris has been released, 'Let's Count The Smiles':



Georgia is the most successful of the Junior Eurovision countries, winning three times (2008, 2011 and 2016) finishing in the top ten on nine out of ten occasions.


Junior Eurovision will be held in Paris on 19 December 2021.
