Eurovision Asia: Songs for Bhutan's national final released

The five songs competing to represent Bhutan at the inaugural Eurovision Song Contest Asia have been released.
Bhutan will become the first country to select its Eurovision Asia entry when Rhythm of Bhutan takes place on Tuesday 11 August.
The five competing entries are:
Baeyul 301 – དྲན་པ། – Drenpa (The Memories)
Karma Drupchu – ཕ་གཡུས། – Pha Yuel (The Homeland)
Pelden Wangchuk – གྱོ་འགྲུལ། – Jo’druel (The Journey)
Sangay Lhaden Band – པད་མའི་ཚེ་དབང་བཀྲ་ཤིས། – Pemi Tshewang Tashi (The Legend)
Thukten Nyendra – ལྷ་ཡི་སྲས་མོ། – Lhayi Semo (The Angel)

Other Eurovision Asia national finals
Rhythm of Bhutan will take place on Tuesday 11 August at 7:00pm Bhutan Time, or 11:00pm AEST.
The national final will mark the beginning of the Eurovision Asia selection season, with seven countries having confirmed dates for televised selections across August and September.
Following Bhutan, Malaysia will reveal its internally selected representative on 15 August, before the Philippines holds Philippine Selection Night on 30 August.
South Korea will select through Korea's Next Wave on 4 September, followed by Nepal's Nepal Decides on 19 September.
Laos will hold its two-night selection Sieng Lao: The One on 23 and 24 September, Thailand will stage
Thailand's Chosen One on 27 September, and Bangladesh will round out the currently announced national finals with Voice of Bangladesh on 30 September.
Cambodia and Vietnam have also previously been announced as participating, with details of their selection plans still to be confirmed.
Eurovision Asia heads to Bangkok
The inaugural Eurovision Song Contest Asia will take place in Bangkok, Thailand, on Saturday 14 November.
The Grand Final will be held at IdeaLive, with Thailand's Channel 3 serving as host broadcaster.
The contest will bring the Eurovision format to Asia for the first time, with broadcasters from across the region competing in the new competition organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), Voxovation and S2O Productions.
