Eurovision 2026: Søren Torpegaard Lund wins Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2026 for Denmark

Denmark’s road to Eurovision 2026 has its winner: Søren Torpegaard Lund takes the title at Dansk Melodi Grand Prix with Før Vi Går Hjem, securing the ticket to represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest.


His eye-catching staging and entrancing house beat made for a compelling stage show and standout performance. This is Søren's second attempt to represent Denmark at Eurovision after his previous effort at DMPG 2023 with Lige her.


Dansk Melodi Grand Prix - Superfinal Results


  1. Søren Torpegaard Lund - Før Vi Går Hjem - 39 points (jury 19 points, televote 20 points)

  2. Ericka Jane - Death of Me - 31 points (jury 14 points, televote 17 points)

  3. Sissal - Infinity - 30 points (jury 17 points, televote 13 points)


The following acts did not progress to the Superfinal

  • Lasse Skriver - Roaring Heart

  • Late Runner - Can U Feel It?

  • Myrkur - Touch My Love and Die

  • Sander Sanchez - Two Spirits


Denmark will compete in the second half of the second semi-final at Eurovision 2026 in Vienna, Austria.


The contest was televised by broadcaster DR and hosted by Sara Bo and Alex Høgh Andersen. It took place in the city of Frederikshaven in Northern Denmark.


Denmark at Eurovision


Denmark made their debut in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1957. They have competed 53 times and have won on three occasions, with Grethe and Jørgen Ingmann in 1963 with Dansevise, The Olsen Brothers in 2000 with Fly On The Wings Of Love and most recently with Emmelie de Forest in 2013 with Only Teardrops. Last year, Denmark was represented by Sissal with Hallucination, which finished 23rd in the final.
