Overnight, the first day of rehearsals for Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool took place.
All up, 10 acts took to the stage for their first run through of 30 minutes each.

Norway
A very similar approach to her national final winning performance, with some costume upgrades.
Malta
The jumper, the cardboard cutouts and much of the staging is the same as their national final performance. But there is a nice addition of an actual car front, compared to just the steering wheel!
Serbia
Another performer who has kept the same aesthetic as their national final performance while dialing it up a notch or two for Eurovision.
Latvia
Sudden Lights from Latvia arrived in Liverpool but their luggage did not. So, unfortunately, the band had to do their first rehearsals without their costumes. However, from the staging set up we can see the lights they used in their national final performance are the main feature again.
Portugal
Mimicat from Portugal has gone for the red aesthetic she used in her winning performance at Festival da Canção.
Ireland
Ireland haven't come to mess about, they want that Grand Final spot and bringing all the fireworks with them.
Croatia
Croatia, as expected, has their same aesthetic as their national final winning performance and video. And for those of you concerned that missile man may not make an appearance, don't worry he's there!
Switzerland
Since Remo was an internal selection, this is the first act of the rehearsals we haven't seen a full performance of. Remo has backing dancers who are using material (or gym bands) in their performance.
Moldova
Pasha is bringing the same elements he used in his winning national final performance but elevated for the big stage of Eurovision. Costumes have had a big upgrade.
Sweden
Loreen is the heavy favourite to win and she has been able to bring her lightbox (panini/sandwich press) to Liverpool. Although, it is a smaller version than she used in Melodifestivalen.
