He returned to Swedish screens in 2019 on Swedish Idol where he performed Conchita's winning Eurovision song 'Rise Like a Phoenix' and received high praises from Christer Björkman, the long time producer of the Swedish national final, Melodifestivalen. Tusse ultimately won the show and became a household name in Sweden.

Tusse debuted at the long running Melodifestivalen national final in 2021. His song 'Voices' won the right to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest beating out previous Eurovision alumni, The Mamas, Eric Saade, Charlotte Perrelli, and Jessica Andersson.
