Tusse competed in the Swedish version of Got Talent, Talang in 2018 where he made all the way to the semi-finals being eliminated just shy of the final. He returned to Swedish screens in 2019 on Swedish Idol where he performed Conchita's winning Eurovision song 'Rise Like a Phoenix' and received high praises from Christer Björkman, the long time producer of the Swedish national final, Melodifestivalen. Tusse ultimately won the show and became a household name in Sweden.

Tusse debuted at the long running Melodifestivalen national final in 2021. His song 'Voices' won the right to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest beating out previous Eurovision alumni, The Mamas, Eric Saade, Charlotte Perrelli, and Jessica Andersson.

About the song

Members of this team also worked on other Eurovision entries such as Robin Stjernberg's 2013 entry 'You' and Måns Zelmerlöw's winning song 'Heroes'. Tusse explains that "Voices has a message of unity" and describing song as a true Swedish pop anthem.

The song won Melodifestivalen 2021 winning the Jury vote as well as receiving all 12 points from the public giving Tusse a 57 point lead over runner-up Eric Saade.
