Courtney Act to host ABC's One Plus One

Australian broadcaster ABC announced that international drag superstar and Australia Decides 2019 performer Courtney Act will host the latest series of the in-depth interview show OnePlusOne.

Courtney told the ABC:

“It’s not often I get the chance to be the person actually asking the questions and so this was a wonderful opportunity to feed my curious nature and delve into the lives and stories of these really captivating people”

The latest series will be focusing on young Australians in the public eye, who aim to make a difference not only in their own lives, but also inspire, educate, entertain, and enrich the lives of others.

She will be interviewing Australia Decides 2020 alumni and Gamilaraay singer/songwriter Mitch Tambo, as well as big names in the Australian spotlight such as Lisa Origliasso of 'The Veronicas' fame, comedian and YouTube star Nat's What I Reckon, South Sudanese-Australian model Aweng Chuol, and Food Frontier founder Thomas King.

Courtney will display her interview prowess as her guests open up to her about their lived experiences, beliefs, and challenges which have helped inform their thoughts, actions, and approach to life. Each guest illustrates the multifaceted nature of the world as Courtney shares their successes and difficult moments with empathy, appreciation, and a sense of fun.

Australian viewers can watch One Plus One on Monday nights, starting from Monday 28th June at 8:00pm on ABC and iView.
