2026 Australian Eurovision representative, Delta Goodrem, recently sat down with The Six O'Clock Show in Ireland to talk about her Eurovision experience in Vienna and a possible collaboration with the Queen of Pop, Kylie Minogue.
"Eurovision was going into a world in itself, it is an icon in its own.. the stage all of it, so I really been honoured and overwhelmed with an amazing experience and so grateful for it".
Delta goes on to talk about when she became a Eurovision fan, saying although she didn't grow up with it, she was approached by a journalist in London during Eurovision week 2025 to ask if she would consider doing it. She said she was always open to it, but it came down to timing.
Delta says the conversations about doing Eurovision started in May 2025 and it wasn't until November/December before she officially said yes and started writing Eclipse with her songwriters.
When talking to Delta about possible collaborations, the host enthusiastically suggests doing a duet with Kylie Minogue. Delta tells us this did actually already happen, but remotely during COVID in 2020. Kylie Minogue performed from London with Delta in Australia at the Christmas with Delta 2020 show to sing When you wish upon a star.
Delta says she is still very keen for a proper song together with Kylie, agreeing that
"we need a pop banger together!"
Imagine that.. the two Queens of Australian pop together! Watch this space!
