Sweden: Melodifestivalen 2022 semi-final 1 results

This morning saw semi-final 1 of Sweden’s Eurovision national selection show ‘Melodifestivalen’ take place at Avicii Arena in Stockholm.

Seven acts competed but only four could remain in the competition by the night’s conclusion.

Cornelia Jakobs and Robin Bengtsson finished in the top two positions and move directly through to the Grand Final.

Robin Bengtsson previously represented Sweden at Eurovision in 2017 with 'I Can't Go On'.

Danne Stråhed and Theoz earnt the right to compete again in the second chance round known as Andra Chansen on 5 March.

Malou Prytz, Shirley Clamp and Omar Rudberg were all eliminated from the competition.

Official results will be released at the conclusion of all six weeks of competition.

Semi-final 2 of Melodifestivalen takes place next Saturday 12th February with the Grand Final scheduled for 12th March.
