Conchita Wurst and Kate Miller-Heidke to take the stage in Australia

Two Eurovision stars a set to take the stage in Australia next month, when Conchita Wurst arrives for three shows alongside Australia’s Trevor Ashley, and will be joined for a guest appearance by Kate Miller-Heidke. ‘Conchita Wurst and Trevor Ashley in Concert’ will play in Brisbane, Sydney (as part of the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival), and Melbourne.

The shows will feature a 40 piece symphony orchestra, which will back Kate in a rendition of her 2019 Eurovision entry ‘Zero Gravity’.

Conchita will perform songs from his albums, including his iconic 2014 Eurovision winning entry ‘Rise Like a Phoenix’. He will also perform a tribute to the music of James Bond movies.

It’s not the first time Conchita and Trevor have shared the stage. During Conchita’s show at the Sydney Opera House ‘From Vienna with Love’ in 2016, Trevor joined him to perform ‘Diamonds are Forever’.

Conchita’s return visit to Australia comes hot off the heels of Norwegian group KEiiNO touring in November, and an announcement from SBS last week that Måns Zelmerlöw will be taking part in Eurovision Australia Decides 2020, both to perform and to join the jury panel.
