Charlotte Perrelli and Tusse go through in semi-final 3 of Sweden’s Melodifestivalen



This morning saw semi-final 3 of Sweden’s Eurovision national selection show ‘Melodifestivalen’ take place in Stockholm.


Seven acts competed but only four could remain in the competition by the night’s conclusion. 1999 Eurovision Song Contest winner Charlotte Perrelli and 2019 Swedish Idol winner Tusse finished in the top two positions and move directly through to the Grand Final. Klara Hammarström and Alvaro Estrella earnt the right to compete again in the second chance round known as Andra Chansen on 6 March.


Eliminated from the competition was debut entrant Emil Assergård, 29, heavy metal band Mustasch and 29 year old country/pop singer Elisa making her second appearance in the competition.

Official voting results will be released later in the week.

Semi-final 4 of Melodifestivalen takes place next Saturday 27th February with the Grand Final scheduled for 13th March.
