Both ABC and SBS have confirmed Australia will not be participating or broadcasting Junior Eurovision this year.
In a statement to Aussievision, an SBS spokesperson stated:
"SBS is always exploring new ways to entertain audiences and enhance their Eurovision experience, however there are no plans to broadcast Jnr Eurovision this year."
In recent years ABC ME has broadcasted the Contest but in July they also confirmed they would not be taking part, telling ESCPlus:
"ABC will not participate in this year's contest, the participation will be in charge of SBS."
Australia last competed at Junior Eurovision in 2019 when Jordan Anthony finished 8th.
This was the fifth year in a row Australia finished top 10 since our debut in 2015.
Australians should still be able to watch Junior Eurovision via the official YouTube account, but this will be confirmed closer to the event.
