Australia Decides 2022: G-Nat!on release their entry 'Bite Me'

Today Adelaide-based girl group G-Nat!on released their song 'Bite Me' that they will perform at ‘Eurovision - Australia Decides' 2022 on the Gold Coast.
Back in November 2021, G-Nat!on were announced along with Andrew Lambrou and Sheldon Riley as the second group of three artists to be competing in Australia's national final.
The group, made up of teenagers Mateja Sardelis, Isla Ward, Taylah Silvestri, Emma Caporaso, Alessia Musolino and Rylee Vormelker, all met whilst studying at Adelaide's Australian College of the Performing Arts in 2018. The girls have been releasing music together since 2019 but shot to national attention after making the Grand Finale of Season 10 of 'The Voice Australia' in 2021.
'Bite Me' has been released in Australia, it will be officially released in each country at midnight on February 18.
The team behind the song, 'Bite Me', includes LeeA (Leea Nanos) together with Erin McKellar and Michael Paynter. LeeA competed at the inaugural ‘Eurovision - Australia Decides' event in 2019 with 'Set Me Free'. On working with LeeA, the girls said:
"That was a really fun process for us, because we kind of got this song that was probably written for a soloist. So to get a song and kind of add our group, get six girls and assign different bits and find what needs a harmony, what needs a solo, what can we adapt to give it that G-Nat!on vibe. And then the essence of the song that she wrote, so it's really exciting."
Upon the announcement, the girls hinted they were working on delivering an empowering pop performance:
"It's so exciting to be the first ever girl group to compete in ‘Eurovision - Australia Decides' 2022. We've got girl power, strong harmonies and amazing choreography to bring an edgy pop performance to the stage. It would be so great to see a girl group at Eurovision cause it would inspire so many other young girls to come together and uplift each other and really encourage people to support each other."
G-Nat!on join ten other acts for the final of 'Eurovision - Australia Decides' on February 26 on the Gold Coast.
