About Festival i Këngës 64

For Albania, Festival i Këngës is more than a Eurovision national selection.

The festival is a celebration of Albanian music and culture with 63 years of history behind it.

The four shows will present a spectacle of art and entertainment to the Albanian public and viewers abroad.

The 64th Festivali i Këngës will commence with all 28 songs, accompanied by a full orchestra, competing in two semi-finals.

On the third evening, it's Nostalgia Night, where artists will perform a cover of a past song from the history of the competition.

The final will take place on the 20th of December where the winner will be chosen through a vote: 50 per cent from the jury, 25 per cent from televoting (in Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro and North Macedonia), and 25 per cent from international online voting.

Online voting for international fans will be conducted via the Festivali i Këngës app alongside live broadcasts of all four shows transcribed in Albanian and English.

Albania at Eurovision

Albania has consistently participated at the Eurovision Song Contest since their debut in 2004. Their debut was successful when Anjeza Shahini gave the country a top ten finish in Istanbul with the song The Image of You. Their highest placement was in Baku in 2012 where Suus, performed by Rona Nishliu, placed 5th. Throughout their history at the contest Albania has sent powerful, captivating entries with a reputation for maintaining their national flare.

At Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Albania placed 8th with Shkodra Elektronike's Zjerm.
