Aina Abdul to represent Malaysia at Eurovision Asia


Aina Abdul will fly the Malaysian flag in Bangkok when the inaugural Eurovision Asia takes place on Saturday 14 November.
The announcement was made during the show AJL: Anugerah Juara Lagu.
A total of ten artists competed in the 40th edition of the annual song competition on Saturday 15 August.
This year, however, there was an added element to the prize, the opportunity to represent Malaysia on an international stage.
Broadcast live from Unifi Arena in Bukit Jalil, the glittering entertainment gala showcased new Malaysian music while celebrating the 40-year history of the show and the music it has produced.
Also in focus was the future of the country's music scene, with an exciting new chapter to talk about! And viewers in Malaysia and beyond can now look forward to Aina Abdul representing the nation at the first Eurovision Song Contest Asia.
Her song entry for Eurovision Asia has not yet been revealed and is expected to be released at a later date. The famous singer, songwriter, and actress is well-known for her powerful vocals, emotional music style, and bold fashion choices. She rose to fame through hit songs like Terus Hidup.
Malaysia becomes the second country to find its singer for Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026.
Last week, Nyendra won the inaugural edition of Rhythm of Bhutan and became the first artist to represent Bhutan. He'll perform the song Lhayi Semo (The Angel).
Malaysia will compete at the first Eurovision Song Contest Asia, which takes place in Bangkok, Thailand, on Saturday 14 November.
The contest will bring together broadcasters and artists from across the Asia-Pacific region for the first edition of the new Eurovision event.
