The season of preview parties run by OGAE Australia continued last night with a night of energy, fun and music in Melbourne.

The Aussievision team was in attendance and had a wonderful night!

It was a historic occasion, as Malta's Aidan became the first ever non-Australian artist to tour Australia as part of a Eurovision promotional tour.

Dressed in a suave cowboy-inflected double denim look, Aidan took to the stage in front of a crowd of excited fans to perform his Eurovision 2026 track, Bella.

He then did a medley including his fan-favourite song from MESC 2022, Ritmu, as well as the lead single from his new album, Cowboys Don't Cry.

Australia's Eurovision 2025 superstar Go-Jo also did another fantastic set, fresh off the back of his performances in Brisbane and Perth.

Performing Mrs Hollywood, Supersonic and of course Milkshake Man, Go-Jo got the crowd hyped to enjoy their evening.

A particular highlight came when he pulled an Erika Vikman lookalike onstage to sing Appetite, his duet with none other than, well... Erika Vikman!

Go-Jo also gave an insight into his process for preparing for Eurovision 2025. Speaking about his upcoming new album, he revealed that many of the songs on the album were previously submissions for Eurovision 2025 - including a song which was his original submission for the Contest!

However, once selected by the SBS, Go-Jo said that he felt he could write something more suitable for the Eurovision stage, with Milkshake Man bringing the theatrics and the staging which we all know and love.

Fan creativity wins the night

As always, fan creativity was on show throughout the evening, with lookalikes of Erika Vikman, Go-Jo, Akylas and more visible around the room.

The winner of the annual OGAE costume competition was Eoin McIlwee, whose spectacular Milkshake Man costume (complete with ice cream van) was an undoubted highlight.

Also a pleasure was the return of Tasmania-based OGAE member Betty Evans to the stage.

Betty specialises in putting her own spins and translations on Eurovision numbers, and she outdid herself with performances of Molitva (Serbia 2007) and Nan (Albania 2026), with the latter being presented as a mashup with Madonna's Like a Prayer!

As always, the night also included a viewing of all of the song for Eurovision 2026, with fans able to vote for their favourite songs for inclusion in OGAE Australia's points for the annual OGAE poll.

The results of the poll will be revealed after the final pre-party next week in Sydney.
