Introduction
The inaugural Aussievision Song Contest is an online competition for Eurovision fans during the lonely and quiet off-season. It is based on the actual competition with a song and entry chosen for each State and Territory in Australia. The songs had to be released from September 1 last year (same as Eurovision) and the artist must have some connection with the State or Territory they are representing.
Choosing the artists
A shortlist of artists/songs were put together by ourselves based on chart performance and suggestions made by our social media followers. There were then 'State Finals' where people got to vote
So who is representing each State and Territory?
Peking Duk - Wasted (ACT)
5SOS - Youngblood (NSW)
Jessica Mauboy - Then I Met You (NT)
Amy Shark - I Said Hi (QLD)
Sia - Flames (SA)
Wolfe Brothers - Ain't Seen it Yet (TAS)
Kylie Minogue - Dancing (VIC)
Troye Sivan - My My My (WA)
You can see/listen to all songs on our YouTube playlist.
