Which artists could represent the Philippines at Eurovision Asia 2026?

Today, we take a look at suggestions from Eurovision fans and the Aussievision team on theoretical contenders who might represent the Philippines in Bangkok at inaugural Eurovision Asia this year.

Here are the potential artists who could represent the Philippines at Eurovision Asia 2026:

Janine Berdin

Janine Berdin is a singer-songwriter from Lapu-Lapu City. She first gained fame as a singer by winning the second season of Filipino singing competition Tawag ng Tanghalan.

Her 2022 single Mahika with fellow singer Adie reached the top of the Billboard Philippines Songs chart, staying in the charts for 72 weeks to be the longest-charting track in the history of the chart.

In May 2026, Janine's live performance of her song What if I miss you for the rest of my life? on the Wish 107.5 Bus went viral globally, drawing attention from international stars like SZA and Doechii, and putting her top of mind in discussions about the Filipino representative at Eurovision Asia in Bangkok.

BINI

BINI is a Filipino girl group formed in 2019 through the reality program Star Hunt Academy. Comprised of eight members, they have been known as ‘the nation’s girl group’ due to their impact on pop music in the Philippines.

They are the Filipino pop group with the most monthly Spotify listeners, and surpassed one billion streams in 2025, the same year they were named Women of the Year by Billboard Philippines.

They have been named in Forbes Asia’s 30 Under 30, and are the first Filipino to ever perform at Coachella. With these accolades and their immense local popularity, it’s no wonder the group is prominent in talks about the direction the country will take with its participation in Bangkok.

KZ Tandingan

KZ Tandingan is a Filipino singer and rapper who rose to fame after winning the inaugural season of The X Factor Philippines back in 2012.

She is recognised as one of the most celebrated Filipino artists of her generation, and has been hailed as ‘Asia’s Soul Supreme’ by various outlets across the press.

Tandingan recorded the first full Filipino Disney song, is among the most successful artists on Billboard’s Philippine Top 20 chart, and is one of the all-time most streamed female artists in the nation.

Much like many Eurovision stars over the years, including 2026 winner DARA, she has been a coach on versions of The Voice, coaching on the Kids and Teens versions of the show in the Philippines.

Morissette

Morissette is a Filipino singer-songwriter known in the media as ‘Asia’s Phoenix’.

She first rose to prominence as the runner up in the show Star Factor at age 14 and then as a semi-finalist in the inaugural local season of The Voice.

Known for her wide vocal range and use of whistle notes, she has also worked closely with American singer Michael Bolton (who represented Connecticut in the American Song Contest, finishing 7th) on two different talent show projects.

As well as working with Bolton, Morissette herself is no stranger to representative competition, having represented the Philippines in 2017 and 2018 at the Asia Song Festival.

Additionally, her debut album was certified platinum, and she has more Wish 107.5 Music Awards than any other artist, making her another good potential choice to go to Bangkok.

Darren Espanto

Canadian-born Darren Espanto first gained recognition as a contestant on the inaugural season of The Voice Kids Philippines in 2014, finishing as the runner-up.

He has been dubbed as ‘Asia’s Pop Heartthrob’ by various press outlets, and is one of the country’s most successful and top-selling artists of the decade, with his self-titled debut album certified two times Platinum.

He has performed for Pope Francis, sold out the legendary Carnegie Hall in New York, and performed for various presidents and dignitaries across the ASEAN region, recently being appointed as the first celebrity Youth Advocate for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Zack Tabudlo

Zack Tabudlo is a singer-songwriter who specialises in the genre of Original Pilipino Music (OPM).

His 2021 song Binibini broke a record as the top local song on Spotify’s Philippines charts, and his track Pano became the longest-running number one OPM song on Spotify, as well as the first number one song to debut on the Billboard Philippines Songs chart.

Tabudlo is also known for his range, and is capable of going up to falsetto.

As well as OPM, he blends R&B, soft rock, funk and pop. His deeply emotional, relatable songs make him another great candidate to represent the Philippines on the Eurovision Asia stage.

Marina Summers

Marina Summers is a Filipino drag artist, singer, and television personality.

She was the runner-up on the first season of Drag Race Philippines and a finalist on the second series of RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs the World.

In addition to her work in drag and television, she has released music, including her single AMAFILIPINA that she performed during the opening number of Miss Universe Philippines 2024.

She has featured as part of Spotify’s GLOW program for LGBTQIA+ creators, and earlier this year became the first transgender woman to host Miss Universe Philippines.

No stranger to the big stage, she could be the one to represent her nation in Bangkok.

SB19

SB19 is a five-member Filipino boy band, dubbed the ‘Kings of P-Pop’.

They have been credited for contributing to the international recognition of Philippine Pop music and are considered one of the genre’s most influential acts.

They became the first Southeast Asian act to be nominated for a Billboard Music Award and are also the first to appear in the top 10 of the Billboard Social 50.

SB19 became the first Filipino act to sell out two nights at the Philippine Arena, on an international tour that included stops in North America, Asia, and Oceania.

Their incredible success makes it no surprise that they are on fans’ minds to represent the Philippines.

Sarah Geronimo

Sarah Geronimo is a singer, record producer and actress known for her vocal versatility, genre-spanning repertoire and commanding stage presence.

She is hailed as one of the most influential figures in the history of Philippine pop music and credited with shaping the genre in the nation.

Her numerous accolades include a Billboard Women in Music Award, an MTV Europe Music Award, and a World Music Award among many others.

Considered one of the greatest musicians of all time in the country, she is an obvious candidate to represent them on a global stage in Bangkok.

MICO

A personal wishful thought of mine, MICO is a Filipino-Canadian singer-songwriter from Toronto, who first found recognition performing on Discord calls and Twitch streams, building a large online fanbase and early independent success.

His 2022 single cut my hair was a top-20 radio hit, and his 2024 world tour sold out shows across North America in Europe.

So far this year, he was nominated for a Juno Award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year, and released his debut album, When the lights turn on.

While unlikely, his upcoming Running from a Feeling Tour has a break where he travels to Asia, during Eurovision Asia week, so it is a small possibility that he could take the stage in Bangkok.

Here are a handful more artists suggested to represent the Philippines, they included:

I would also be remiss if I didn’t mention JJ, who won Eurovision for Austria in 2025.

Sheldon Riley, who represented Australia in 2022, and Erica Padilla, who competed at Eurovision: Australia Decides on the Gold Coast in 2022.

While incredibly unlikely to represent the nation, these three artists are recent examples of artists with Filipino heritage thriving on the Eurovision stage.

It could be possible however that we see big names like these as interval acts during the show in Bangkok.

The Philippine broadcaster ABS-CBN will host a televised national selection next month in August to choose who they will send to the inaugural Eurovision Asia Song Contest.

It will be interesting to see whether the competing artists may come from this list, or if new talents will emerge to represent the Philippines in Bangkok, Saturday November 14.
