Voting opens for Triple J’s Hottest 100 - With Eurovision and Australia Decides artists on the list

That great Aussie tradition is back, yes the Triple J Hottest 100!

The Triple J’s Hottest 100 is Australia’s biggest music countdown, and has become an institution. Usually held over the Australia Day weekend, the Hottest 100 countdown will air on Saturday January 22 and you can vote for your favourite Eurovision and Australia Decides artist!

Several Eurovision and Australia Decides artists have made it on the list, including a Eurovision song, which you can include in your own votes!

Read on below to find out which songs made the list:

Our 2021 Eurovision representative Montaigne has two songs on the list. Montaigne's recent release 'Now (In Space)' and her Eurovision 2021 song 'Technicolour' are eligible for voting.

Montaigne's 'Technicolour' competed in the first semi-final at Rotterdam in May, however she sadly missed out on the Grand Final. Montaigne did set a record though - as being the first artist to perform at Eurovision remotely as she unfortunately couldn't travel to The Netherlands for the Contest.

Jaguar Jonze

2020 Australia Decides entrant Jaguar Jonze, has two songs on the voting list, 'Curled In' and 'Who Died and Made You King?'.

Jaguar Jonze has recently been announced as one of the artists who will compete at 'Eurovision - Australia Decides' 2022 for the chance to represent Australia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin in May. In a recent interview with Aussievision Jaguar revealed her new Australia Decides entry is her best work yet!

Electric Fields

Eurovision 2019 hopefuls Electric Fields also have a song on the list. Their gorgeous November release 'Gold Energy'. Electric Fields competed in the first ever Australia Decides, with their entry '2000 and Whatever' finishing in runner up position behind Kate Millier-Heidke.

Didirri competed in Australia Decides with his emotional ballad 'Raw Stuff', where he finished in 4th place. This year he released a cover of Green Day's 'Wake Me Up When September Ends' on Triple J's Like A Version, recorded at the ABC Studios in Melbourne.

Like A Version is a segment on Australian radio station Triple J. Every week a musician or band comes into the studio to play one of their own songs and cover a song they love. Since 2004, many artists have participated, including Childish Gambino, Lorde, CHVRCHES, Tame Impala, Tash Sultana, HAIM, Gang of Youths, Halsey, DMA'S, Aurora and Arctic Monkeys.

What you need to know

Of course, just because a song isn’t on the list doesn’t mean you can’t vote for it. You can manually add any song to your shortlist, so long as it was released between 1 December 2020 and 30 November 2021.
