United Kingdom public broadcaster BBC has just released LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER's Eurovision 2026 entry Eins, Zwei, Drei.
Fuelled by his signature mix of synths and electronic bass, Eins, Zwei, Drei is a song about escaping the soul-crushing drudgery and boredom of the nine-to-five, into a world of dreams and endless possibilities. The song has a whimsical and strikingly witty feel, with playful lyrics and undertones of Britpop and eighties synthwave. It is chock-full of uniquely UK references – even the staple dessert of British school canteens, “roly poly with custard” gets celebrated amongst the anthemic chants of “Eins, Zwei, Drei”.
Alongside LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER, the song is co-written by multi-platinum singer-songwriter Julie Aagaard, Thomas Stengaard, a writer on Denmark's 2013 Eurovision winning song Only Teardrops by Emmelie De Forest, and Lasse Midtsian Nymann (NYLAN), a writer and producer on Switzerland's 2024 winning Eurovision song The Code by Nemo.
LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER says:
“I am absolutely buzzing that the world can finally hear what we have created. Eins, Zwei, Drei was born during a session with the other writers and producers on my synthesizer ‘Kosmo’, and I couldn’t be prouder of it. I want people to be able to dance, shout, singalong, and just embrace the absurd jubilation that I hope it sparks when you listen to it. We’re working hard on pulling together all the elements to make it one of the wildest performances to ever grace the Eurovision stage, which is no small feat! See you in Vienna!”
Also released today is the music video for Eins, Zwei, Drei. Directed by Johnny Goddard, it offers a unique insight into the surreal mind and eccentric world of LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER.

The BBC also announced today that LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER's stage performance in Vienna will be brought to life by Creative Director and Choreographer Fredrik ‘Benke’ Rydman, who has been responsible for some of the most iconic Eurovision performances in recent memory, including the staging of Switzerland’s 2024 winner, Nemo, with The Code, Finland’s 2023 runner-up, Käärijä, with Cha Cha Cha, and Sweden’s 2015 winner, Måns Zelmerlöw, with Heroes.
Who is LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER?
LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER is an electronic project created by British musician and engineer Sam Battle. Battle is best known for building unusual, often handmade synthesisers and musical machines, including devices constructed from vintage electronics, game consoles, or entirely custom circuitry. These machines are often used throughout his performances and online videos.
LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER first gained recognition through viral YouTube demonstrations and live shows built around custom-made instruments, and Battle later expanded into constructing a physical synthesizer museum and workshop space dedicated to electronic music history and experimentation. His artistic identity is strongly tied to "maker culture" and the revival of analogue sound design, and he has built a large following among electronic music enthusiasts who value hands-on hardware creation rather than purely software-based production.
United Kingdom at Eurovision
The United Kingdom first participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in its second edition in 1957. Since 1959, the United Kingdom has appeared at the Contest every year and is one of the 'Big Five' countries alongside France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, which have an automatic place in the final due to their participating broadcasters being the largest financial contributors to the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
The United Kingdom has won the Contest five times, in 1967, with Puppet on a String performed by Sandie Shaw; in 1969 (a four-way tie), with Boom Bang-a-Bang by Lulu; in 1976, with Save Your Kisses for Me by Brotherhood of Man; in 1981, with Making Your Mind Up by Bucks Fizz; and in 1997, with Love Shine a Light by Katrina and the Waves.
