Ukraine: Artists announced for Vidbir 2025

Ukrainian broadcaster Suspline has announced the nine artists and song titles that will compete in the 2025 edition of Vidbir. These artists were chosen by a closed audition process.

Two notable names are back for another shot at Eurovision glory. Ziferblat returns just one year after finishing as the runners-up of 2024's Vidbir where they finished just a few points behind winners Jerry Heil and Alyona Alyona.

The other name that Vidbir fans may recognise is KHAYAT who is returning to the competition four years after competing with his song Call For Love. Like Ziferblat, KHAYAT finished in second place behind legendary Eurovision group Go_A in 2020. Interestingly, many of the Vidbir 2020 finalists have gone on to represent Ukraine at Eurovision, those being Go_A (2020/2021), Tvorchi (2023) and Jerry Heil (2024).

Wildcard entry

As per previous years, the nine Vidbir artists will be joined by a wildcard entry, which is to be voted upon by the public soon. Ukrainian nationals can vote for one of these eleven shortlisted artists to finalise the line-up for Vidbir 2025, via the national app, Diia. The 10th and final artist competiting in Vidbir will be announced on 17 January 2025. The names competing for the final Vidbir spot are:

Vidbir 2025 will take place on 8 February 2025. The winner will be chosen by a 50/50 combination of votes from an expert jury and a public televote.
