Swedish broadcaster SVT today announced the full list of artists and songs competing in next year's Melodifestivalen. The line-up is stacked with big names that include two former winners of the national selection show.

Former Swedish Eurovision contestants Sanna Nielsen (3rd - 2014) and Robin Bengtsson (5th - 2017) will be joined by 12 other former participants including 2025 finalists Greczula, Meira Omar and Saga Ludvigsson. 15 artists will also make their debut in the six-week show that will determine who will represent Sweden at Eurovision 2026 in Vienna, Austria.

So let's take a look at the 30 artists who will be competing!

The big names

Sanna Nielsen

The 41 year old returns to Melodifestivalen for the eighth time after winning the competition on her seventh attempt in 2014. Undo went on to finish third at Eurovision and Sanna hosted Melodifestivalen the following year. From 2016-2022 she hosted the popular Swedish summer singalong program Allsång på Skansen and also gave birth to her first child in 2021. Sanna will be singing a song written by iconic Swedish songwriters Thomas G:son, Peter Boström and Jimmy Jansson so will be a force to be reckoned with.

Robin Bengtsson

Making his fifth Melodifestivalen appearance is Robin Bengtsson, 35, who took fifth place for Sweden with I Can't Go On at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. He debuted at Melodifestivalen in 2016 and returned after his win in both 2020 and 2022 finishing eighth and 11th respectively. Robin's partner Sigrid Bernson also competed in Melodifestivalen in 2018 with the pair meeting when they were paired as dance partners on Swedish television program Let's Dance.

AleXa

Performing under her Korean name Kim Seri, K-pop singer AleXa (Alexaundra Schneiderman) was the winner of the one and only American Song Contest in 2022 with Wonderland. The 28 year old represented Oklahoma where she grew up and has released a number of singles and EPs over her ten-year career. Swedish songwriters make up a large part of the K-pop songwriting industry so there are likely to be some big names behind her performance.

Felicia Eriksson

Felicia Eriksson has already competed at Melodifestivalen in 2024 under the psuedonym Fröken Snusk, a music project created by Swedish songwriter and music producer Rasmus Gozzi. At the time her identity was unknown as she hid behind a pink balaclava, just missing out on a place in the final with Unga & Fria which went to Number 1 in the Swedish charts. As Fröken Snusk, she went on to win the fourth season of Masked Singer Sverige before the role was replaced with a different singer and Felicia began to perform under her own name.

A-Teens

Swedish chart toppers A-Teens have had ten top 10 hit singles on the Swedish charts but their 2024 interval performance was the first time they had set foot on the Melodifestivalen stage. The group was formed by Niklas Berg in 1998 as an ABBA tribute group called ABBA-Teens, which was later renamed A-Teens. The band members, who are all now aged in their 40s are Marie Serneholt, Amit Paul, Dhani Lennevald and Sara Lumholdt. The group is best known for the singles Mamma Mia (1999), Upside Down (2000) and Floorfiller (2002), all of which were hits worldwide. After six years together, the group disbanded following the release of their Greatest Hits album in May 2004. They reunited as a group in 2024.
