Serbia first competed at Eurovision as an independent nation in 2007, after previously having competed as part of Yugoslavia and then Serbia and Montenegro. They won on debut with the song 'Molitva' sung by Marija Šerifović. Since then they have reached the top five at Eurovision twice with Željko Joksimović in 2012 and Konstrakta in 2022. The latter once again competed in this year's Serbian Eurovision national selection.
