Sweden win OGAE Second Chance Contest 2022



Swedish artists MEDINA have won the OGAE Second Chance Contest 2022 with with their song 'In i dimman'.


The annual OGAE Second Chance Contest sees each official fan club (OGAE Australia, OGAE Sweden etc) select a song that didn't win their national final to battle it out in a Eurovision style contest.


This is Sweden's 17th win since the competition started in 1987 with their last victory in 2020 thanks to Anna Bergendahl's 'Kingdom Come'.




MEDINA finished 3rd at this year's Melodifestivalen behind Cornelia Jakobs and her song 'Hold Me Closer'.


Australia, who sent 'Dreamer' by Voyager, finished in a very respectable 9th place.


The highest points received were 8 points from Rest of the World, 7 points from Iceland France and 6 points from Poland.


Previously Australia finished 18th in 2020 with Jaguar Jonze's 'Rabbit Hole' and 4th place in 2019 with Electric Fields and their song '2000 and Whatever'.
