STEFAN has won Eesti Laul with 'Hope' to book his ticket to Turin at Eurovision 2022.

This year marked STEFAN's fourth participation in Eesti Laul, after making the superfinal in 2019 and 2020.

He won the 100% televote Superfinal between himself, ELYSA, and this year's Eesti Laul jury winners Minimal Wind ft. Elisabeth Tiffany.

The three advanced to the Superfinal after all 12 artists were scored with a 50% split of juries and televote. Estonia's Eurovision 2002 Anna Sahlene just missed the Superfinal.

'Hope' was written by STEFAN himself with Karl-Ander Reismann who has written many Eesti Laul songs including STEFAN's previous entries 'Laura (Walk With Me)' as part of Vaje in 2018, 'Without You' in 2019, and 'By My Side' in 2020. He also co-wrote the entry of fellow Eesti Laul 2022 finalist Ott Lepland.

Estonia won Eurovision in 2001 and are hoping to qualify to the final this year after failing to qualify last year with Uku Suviste's entry 'The Lucky One'. The nation will be performing in the second half of the second semi-final at the Eurovision Song Contest in May.
