Spain: Blas Cantó will take 'Voy a quedarme’ to Rotterdam at Eurovision 2021

Spain held their national final 'Destino Eurovisión 2021’ and selected the song 'Voy a quedarme’ that Blas Cantó will sing in Rotterdam at Eurovision. The show was organised by Spanish broadcaster RTVE.

Blas Cantó, was due to be the Spanish representative in 2020, and will once again represent the nation this year.

The two songs in contention tonight were 'Voy a quedarme’ and ‘Memoria’. Both songs were released on February 9. Public voting opened ahead of the show for fans both inside and outside Spain, as part of stage 1 of voting. Stage 1 of voting closed just before the show began.

Stage 2 of the public voting started after Blas Cantó performed both songs. The winning song was selected exclusively through a public vote via telephone, SMS and TVE's official Eurovision app and website.

The winning song 'Voy a quedarme’ ended up winning the televote with 58% of the vote. 'Voy a quedarme’ was also the song chosen by the Aussievision team to take out the national final.

The drawn out show also consisted of surprise guests and performances including some Eurovision alumni, they included Vanesa Martín, Nia, Andrés Suárez and Cepeda, Pastora Soler, Edurne and Roi.

Blas Cantó also performed a ‘Melody Eurovisión’ featuring some Eurovision favourites, it'd definitely worth checking out:
