Serbia: 'Pesma za Evroviziju' semi-final 1 results

This morning saw Serbia's national final 'Pesma za Evroviziju' kick off, with the first semi-final taking place.

Hurricane opened the semi-final with a performance of their Eurovision 2021 song 'Loco Loco'. They later performed an epic set of Eurovision favourites including 'Qele Qele' (Sirusho's 2008 song for Armenia), 'Fuego' (Eleni Foureira's 2018 song for Cyprus), 'Mata Hari' (Efendi's 2021 song for Azerbaijan) and 'Molitva' (Marija Šerifović's winning 2007 song for Serbia).

The show was hosted by familiar hosts Dragana Kosjerina and Jovan Radomir, who hosted Beovijia in 2020 (Serbia's previous national selection show). Australian-Serbian Stefan Popović also made a return, hosting the Green Room with Kristina Radenković.

18 songs competed in the semi-final, and nine made it through to the final which will take place this Saturday (Sunday in Australia).

Amongst the nine acts to progress are favourites Zorja, Aca Lukas, and Angellina. Sanja Bogosavljević who was a back-up singer on the 2007 winning song 'Molitva' unfortunately didn't make it through.
