Internally selected artist Roxen performed her five song options in the running for Rotterdam 2020 and via national final Selecția Națională a winner was selected. In a strong and convincing performance 'Alcohol You' ran away with the win.
During the evening we were treated to a wide array of interval acts including Natalia Gordienko, Sandro and Ulrikke representing Moldova, Cyprus and Norway respectively, Eurovision royalty Loreen and 2009 Romanian representative Elena Gheorghe. Overall the production quality of the songs and the evening were a step in the right direction for Romania - the nation is keen to end their non-qualification streak at Eurovision and 'Alcohol You' might just do that.
