Romania: 101 songs to compete in Selecția națională 2026

As we know, Romania will return to the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna in 2026 after a few years away from the competition.

Romania's entry will be selected through Selecția Națională 2026, the official national selection organised by broadcaster TVR. Submissions were open from 14 January to 2 February 2026, with 101 songs entered into the competition. These entries will be assessed by a professional jury, with semifinal auditions scheduled for early February.

A total of 10 acts will compete in the national final set for 4 March 2026. The winning act will be chosen by 100% public vote and represent Romania in the second semi-final of Eurovision 2026 on 14 May 2026.

Of the names in the running, there are several notables: WRS who represented Romania in 2022 with Llámame, and some national final returnees Bella Santiago (2018 and 2019) and Adriana Moraru (2023). Also competing are a few Moldovan artists who submitted and/or competed in the Moldovan selection this year, namely Dayana with two songs, Sasha Bognibov, Maxim Zavidia and Valleria who competed in the Moldovan final with Valerian Steel.
