Team comments
"If any country has the momentum to clinch a victory, it's Finland. They're bold, genuinely exciting, and deliver exactly what Eurovision audiences didn't even know they were craving." ~Joel
"Finland might be one of the prime contenders for a second Eurovision title. Except 2024, these entries brought competitiveness in this stage of Eurovision after years in the wilderness of poor results in the late 2010s." ~John Christian
"Finland are primed to win Eurovision very soon. Their national final UMK is continually one of the best of any country participating in Eurovision. They have shown with Kaarija and Erika Vikman that they know what the audiences love. Having recently been in Finland myself, they have amazing venues that can host the event, namely in Tampere or Helsinki." ~Jamie
"Always punching above their weight, a nation that truly understands Eurovision, which is reflected in their amazing national final UMK every year. They've had some struggles with results in the past but this recent streak is completely clutch." ~Liv
"This is actually a patchier set of results than one might expect from a fan-favourite country - for every Kaarija or Blind Channel, there's a The Rasmus or a Windows95Man waiting in the wings to bring us straight back down to earth. And yet, looking solely at results is to do something of a disservice to Finland. The reason for their popularity in recent years is so much to do with their phenomenally produced (and promoted) national final, right from the dripfeed rollout of songs to the spectacular staging we normally get on the night. In my view, the Finnish public don't always get it right - but the material is always there such that when they do, we know we're in for something special." ~Craig
