Pratik Himal Rai wins Nepal Decides to earn place at Eurovision Asia 2026


Pratik Himal Rai will represent Nepal at the inaugural Eurovision Song Contest Asia after winning Nepal Decides with Ananta Maya.
Nepal became the latest country to select its entry for Eurovision Asia, with 11 acts competing in the national final on Wednesday night.
Pratik came out on top following a combination of voting from a professional jury, the Nepali public and viewers around the world.
The professional jury accounted for 40% of the result, with another 40% coming from the Nepali public and the remaining 20% from the Rest of the World vote.

After voting closed, the top three results were revealed.

The remaining eight finalists were not ranked publicly.
Also competing in the final were Beyond with Control, Amit Baral with Sundar Sansar, Meghna Gewali with Kanchi Nani, Amrita Limbu with Madhos Raat, Prithvi Khanal with Dhumba Talai Ma, Nirmala Ghale with Mero Message Ko Answer Khoi, RC Rimal with K Maya Yesto Huncha Ho and Suraj Tamang with Gorkhali Keto.
About Pratik Himal Rai

Pratik will take Ananta Maya to Bangkok after winning Nepal's national final.
The Nepali singer, songwriter and performer has more than a decade of experience in music and has gained recognition through appearances on television music shows.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in music, with his musical style spanning ballads, slow rock, Nepali folk and folk-pop.
Pratik has also released original music, combining contemporary sounds with traditional influences.
Nepal makes Eurovision Asia history
The result makes Pratik the first act ever selected to represent Nepal at the Eurovision Song Contest Asia.
Nepal Decides had originally been scheduled for September 19 but was postponed following severe flash flooding in northern Nepal and neighbouring Tibet in August.
Nepal is one of 11 countries taking part in the inaugural Contest, alongside Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, the Philippines, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam.
Pratik will perform Ananta Maya at the first Eurovision Song Contest Asia in Bangkok, Thailand, on Saturday November 14.
