The Lithuanian Eurovision national selection show ‘Pabandom iš naujo!’ continued this weekend with the second of the elimination heats.
In the elimination heats only the top 6 out of the 11 acts progress to the finals. The successful acts were selected by 50/50 combination of jury and public televoting.

Ieva Zasimauskaitė gave Lithuania their fourth best result in a Eurovision Grand Final in 2018 finishing in 12th place. Tonight Ieva clearly delivered the best performance of the night and it was the juries favourite. It was a nice polished heartfelt ballad and best overall package.
Emilija Katauskaitė was the televoting favourite of the night. 'Illuminate' is a banging pop number with strings and a chorus with punch. Emilija managed to just scrape through to the next round in sixth place overall after the juries placed her second to last in their results.
Queens of Roses really gave us some strong girl group energy reminiscent of the Australian Popstar group Bardot from their 2001 days. They closed the show singing about washing machines with lyrics like "'Cause you're talkin' like a washing machine (Ah-ooh)".
Moosu X gave us a bop with unexpected cello moments. It also has a catchy bridge "I wish I had a super power to over come my past life traumas" that will get stuck in your head. Moosu X managed to progress to the semi-final.
'The Devil lives in Spain' clearly wasn't everyones cup of tea. One of the surprise non-qualifiers of the night as per the Eurovision fandom online goes to Cosmic Bride. For another year running Cosmic Bride failed to proceed to semi-final.
Heat 3 of 'Pabandom iš naujo!’ 2022 will be on January 22 in Europe and January 23 in Australia.
