Kasia Dereń wins Semi Final 1 of Poland's National Final Szansa Na Sukces

This year the Polish broadcaster Telewizja Polska (TVP) are using the revived competition of 'Szansa Na Sukces - Eurowizja 2020' (Chance of Success - Eurovision 2020) to select their Eurovision 2020 artist and entry that will represent Poland. This comes from the same format that was used to select Viki Gabor who ended up giving Poland their back to back Junior Eurovision win in 2019.

'Szansa Na Sukces - Eurowizja 2020' features three themed Semi Finals and a Grand Final. The winners of each Semi will be decided by a jury made up of former Eurovision contestants- Cleo (2014), Michal Szpak (2016) and Gromee (2018). They will also award a wildcard to a non-qualifying contestant. This will bring the number of finalists to four.

Over night Kasia Dereń won the first semi of 'Szansa Na Sukces - Eurowizja 2020'. She will now go to compete in the Grand Final on February 23. The theme of the Semi Final 1 was ‘ABBA’.

  • Kasia Dereń- ‘Mama Mia’

  • Amelia Andryszczyk- ‘S.O.S.’

  • Sargis Davtyan- ‘Voulez Vous’

The winner of 'Szansa Na Sukces - Eurowizja 2020' will be decided by a public televote. Finalists will perform a cover of a song plus an original song which is to be their Eurovision entry.
