Eurovision 2022 winners Kalush Orchestra from Ukraine and 'Eurovision - Australia Decides' 2020 and 2022 artist Jaguar Jonze have been announced as part of the line up for SXSW Music Festival in 2023.
SXSW (South by Southwest) is an annual conglomeration of parallel film, interactive media, and music festivals and conferences organized jointly that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas in the United States. It started in 1987 and the event continues to grow every year.
Kalush Orchestra and Jaguar Jonze were announced, along with another 190 artists, to take part in the Music Festival component of the event called Showcasing Artists. It is curated by South By Southwest in collaboration with record labels, booking agencies, management and PR firms, export offices, publishers, media outlets, lifestyle brands, festivals, and more.
The 2023 SXSW Music Festival is set to take place on March 13 - 18.
Jaguar Jonze was invited back after she was meant to take part in the event in 2020, but Jaguar was stuck in New York due to the start of the global Covid-19 pandemic.
In other news Jaguar Jonze has released a new version of her single 'PUNCHLINE', the Until Dawn Hyperpop Remix, which is now available for download and streaming on all music platforms.
Continuing on with new music news, Kalush Orchestra are set to release their follow up single to their Eurovision winning song 'Stefania'. The new song is called 'In The Shadows of Ukraine' and it features the Finnish band, The Rasmus, who also competed in Turin at Eurovision 2023. The song will be out on October 21.
