Noam Bettan has been chosen to represent Israel at Eurovision 2026 by winning the annual talent show Hakohav Haba (English translation: The Rising Star).

The Hakohav Haba final was held this morning Australia time. The first round saw four artists perform a cover song. One artist was eliminated with the remaining three performing another cover song in the Superfinal. Noam was declared the winner, in decision made 50% by the public tele-vote and 50% by a jury.

27 year old Noam was born into a family of French immigrants in Israel.

The song Noam will perform at Eurovision will be decided internally by a committee and announced in March.

Israel will perform in the second half of the first semi final at Eurovision 2026 on 12 May.
