Ahead of Germany's Eurovision national selection this week, 11 Aussievision contributors have ranked the nine entries competing in Das deutsche Finale 2026.

Contributors awarded 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 and 1 points to their top seven entries.

Without further ado, here are the team's ranking in ascending order:

  1. Malou Lovis - When I'm With You (23 points)

High: 10 points from Kyriakos

Lows: 0 points from Srdjan, Craig, Hayley and Dale

"This song really grabbed hold onto me. It sounds refreshing and groovy and it really stands out among the entries!" ~ Kyriakos

  1. Dreamboys the Band - Jeanie (26 points)

High: 12 points from John Christian

Lows: 0 points from Joel, Kyriakos, Fleur, Hayley and Sam

"I'm infatuated over this girl band song ... I think this might take the cake and possibly, stay in the middle of the scoreboard if this wins." ~ John Christian

  1. Myle - A Ok (28 points)

Highs: 8 points from Hayley, 6 points from Fleur and Kyriakos

Lows: 0 points from Tim, John Christian, Dale, Srdjan and Joel

  1. Molly Sue - Optimist (Ha Ha Ha) (50 points)

Highs: 12 points from Kyriakos, 10 points from Hayley

Lows: 0 points from Sam, 1 point from Srjdan and Tim

"What a vocalist, what a song!! Its very Billie Ellish. Germany please send this!!" ~ Kyriakos

"This is delicate and beautiful - very pretty. If she can pull off a life vocal, she could have a really magical moment at Eurovision!" ~ Hayley

  1. Bela - Herz (53 points)

Highs: 12 points from Fleur, 8 points from Craig, Srdjan and Sam

Lows: 0 points from John Christian, Kyriakos and Tim

"A funky little bop. As a tennis tragic, love the old school indoor tennis court in the music video. Think it ends a bit too abruptly though." ~ Sam

  1. Sarah Engels - Fire (59 points)

Highs: 12 points from Srdjan, 8 points from Dale, Tim and John Christian

Lows: 0 points from Rebecca, 1 point from Hayley

"This is generic and seen before but that's not always a bad thing. Compared to rest of the entries its production quality stands out and from the performances of hers I have seen it appears Sarah can sing live and is a good performer." ~ Srdjan

"Can all these European girlies stop copying Eleni? How about singing about another element? Clearly this girl has not seen ELYSA’s Estonian Fire a few years earlier. It is catchy and I like the fierce outfits in the music video. But the fire theme is cheesy, unoriginal and overdone - even by German Eurovision standards, with the country's 1978 entry also titled Fire (albeit in German)." ~ Sam

  1. Laura Nahr - Wonderland (64 points)

Highs: 12 points from Tim and Joel, 8 points from Kyriakos and Fleur

Lows: 0 points from Craig and Rebecca

"There’s something a bit kooky about this song that is very infectious and charming. It sounds very much like a Triple J style song and I really like the slow start before the song shifts its structure and tempo. The lyrics in this song are also fantastic. I really like the difference in this song compared to everything else and it should get a decent result for Germany." ~ Tim

"After a few listens I’m liking this one a lot more than I did to begin with. It’s really started to give me ‘girl in red’ vibes, the song has a real attractive electro-indie undercurrent that is definitely hooking me in!" ~ Joel

  1. Ragazzki - Ciao Ragazzki (82 points)

Highs: 12 points from Hayley, Craig and Sam, 10 points from Rebecca, John Christian and Dale

Lows: 0 points from Fleur, 2 points from Joel

"This may be a little too repetitive to be particularly competitive at Eurovision, but in this lineup, it's like a breath of fresh air. Bringing campy 70s/80s vibes that feel almost like a throwback to the halcyon days of Dschingis Khan, I hope that there's a 10/10 staging package here that will lift this to the next level. Fun!" ~ Craig

"This is absolutely not the song to send to Eurovision. But damn if it isn't so delightfully silly that I love it anyway. They have a great charisma that will translate well to the stage, and with some good camerawork this could make for a very fun and entertaining stage performance." ~ Rebecca

"I love this German-Polish heritage Italo Disco fun but catchy songs. They guys have charisma and it really gives the Italo Disco 80s vibes but with their own spin on it. The live will be interesting but let's see how this turns out." ~ Dale

"Hooked on the first listen!" ~ Hayley

"I feel like this entry is tying to borrow Italy’s success at Eurovision – but it absolutely works for me. They are also trying to tap into the male novelty entries that work so well at Eurovision these days, which is totally fair. I think this is the only song that would propel Germany off the bottom of the Eurovision scoreboard." ~ Sam

  1. Wavvyboi - Black Glitter (88 points)

Highs: 12 points from Dale and Rebecca, 10 points from Tim, Joel, Srdjan, Craig, Fleur and Sam

Lows: 1 point from John Christian and Kyriakos

"This is Hedwig meets 70s glam rock meets Brit pop meets 2000s punk pop and I LOVE it!!! It's so mixed but cohesive and Wavvyboi is such an interesting artist. Had the most instant appeal to me out of everything." ~ Dale

"I really like the over the top sound that this song has. It just sounds very mid 2000’s whilst sounding just distinct enough to be different to that period. It has a very good energy to it which just sounds enjoyable for the moment" ~ Tim

"Wavvyboi is totally the result if My Chemical Romance and Panic! At The Disco had a lovechild. The fact that I’m using band references from 20 years ago is a concern, but the song is pretty catchy nonetheless. If Vanilla Ninja can win with a nostalgic 2000’s throwback tune, then maybe that’s the sound that Eurovision 2026 is going for?" ~ Joel

"Wavvyboi seems like an artist with a vision, and this song does have a more distinctive sound to it than a lot of the others in the lineup. Not the most exciting song in the world, but there's something here to work with." ~ Craig

"Wonderfully anthemic and pro-self-love. Has a very nostalgic mid-2000's sound that tickles my Gen Z eardrums without feeling overly dated. I mean... come on. Germany, this is your choice! I'm so excited to see this live." ~ Rebecca

In the ever-expanding world of sandbox survival games, animal craft stands out as a unique blend of creativity, strategy, and immersive gameplay. At first glance, the name may suggest a simple crafting game centered around animals. However, the complexity of Animal Craft goes far beyond its title, offering players a layered experience that combines resource management, survival mechanics, world-building, and ecosystem interaction.
