7. Antti Paalanen - Takatukka (46 points)
Highs: 12 points from Hayley, 8 points from Craig and Dale.
Lows: 1 point from Fleur, Srdjan, Sam and John Christian.
"Man this song has alot going on - throat singing, hair cuts and acordians... I LOVE IT" ~ Hayley
6. Komiat - Lululai (58 points)
Highs: 12 points from Kiel and Rebecca, 10 points from Dale.
Lows: 1 point from Hayley and Laura.
"Simple and feel-good. The rolling consonants of Finnish really give this such a happy, whimsical feeling. So catchy and can definitely see this having crowd appeal with the audience. Just catchy and fun!" ~ Rebecca
"Sure this has shades of being another KAJ (Sweden's Finnish-flavoured entry from last year), and that might not bode well for Finland if they send these guys to Vienna. But there's no denying the catchy upbeat nature of this song, and its sure to be ranking high in the public vote which has far more of an impact in UMK. The dark horse to topping the hotly hyped Linda and Pete." ~ Kiel
5. Sinikka Monte - Ready to Leave (60 points)
Highs: 12 points from Fleur, 8 points from John Christian and Kiel.
Lows: 2 points from Dale, Srdjan, Laura and Sam.
"I like this song the most. Mid tempo ballad that could do well if staged right. It's the only ballad in this lineup, so it really stands out. It's quite radio friendly too." ~ Fleur
4. CHACHI - Cherry Cake (60 points)
Highs: 12 points from John Christian, 10 points from Sam and Hayley.
Lows: 1 point Kiel, Craig, Joel and Dale.
"It's the only full English-language entry on the bunch, and I don't care if it will flop live, I think the song serves more flair and more pizzazz than the other songs on the lineup." ~ John Christian
"A Finnish feminist anthem. This feels like the natural successor to Erika Vikman. As addictive as Cherry Cake." Â ~ Sam
3. Etta - Million Dollar Smile (62 points)
Highs: 10 points from Laura, 8 points from Rebecca and Joel.
Lows: 2 points from Hayley and Craig.
"I’m a millennial through and through, and this song is so nostalgic for me, if this came out in 2008 I would have broken the replay button on my iPod listening to this song! I love the mix of rap and rock elements, the chorus is super catchy, and the lyrical message is very touching too. Keep shining, Etta, you’re a star!" ~ Laura
2. KIKI - Rakkaudenkipee (69 points)
Highs: 12 points from Craig, 10 points from Srdjan and Joel.
Lows: 2 points from Kiel, 1 point from Rebecca.
"The successor to both Loreen's "Tattoo" and Sara Siipola's "Paskana", this has superb, atmospheric production which builds to an effective climax. Interesting chord progression, compelling video - the odds seem stacked against KIKI this year, but oh boy do I love this." ~ Craig
"After hearing the first 10 seconds of this song, I knew it would be right up there for me. It exudes Paskana vibes from its very core, so not a surprise it would be one of my favourites. I can't wait to see the staging and performance of this one." ~ Srdjan
"This is definitely the best bop from all of the pop girlies at UMK this year. Enjoyable enough to listen to but I don’t see it challenging Pete and Linda."  ~ Joel
1. Linda Lampenius x Pete Parkkonen - Liekinheitin (118 points)
Highs: 12 points from Sam, Laura, Srdjan, Joel and Dale, 10 points from John Christian, Craig, Kiel, Rebecca and Fleur.
Lows: 8 points from Hayley.
"The song may be called Flamethrower but it is completely different and unique from the countless fire themed entries that have sought to replicate Eleni’s 2018 Fuego success. I love the rustic rasp of Pete’s vocal. A blonde woman playing the violin has already won for a Nordic country – I think it is high time we had this formula again." ~ Sam
"Like a flamethrower harnesses the power of fire into one controlled yet powerful stream of flame, while still bringing the heat, Linda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen distil raw emotion into something so refined and impressive, but I can still experience every inch of their feelings. I am truly in awe of their skill and passion. The vocals and instrumentation, how seamlessly they combine and how well they complement each other, the technique, the stunning counter-melodies, the drama, this beautiful music speaks to my heart without me needing to understand a single word of Finnish. And like all the best songs, it opened up a part of my soul I didn’t know I had. Liekinheitin doesn’t just tug at the heartstrings, it plays them with the touch of a virtuoso. All being well, I can’t see anything dethroning this song from the top of my list come May. Just. Wow." ~ Laura
"This song hooked me from the start, the epic cinematic nature of the composition along with the perfect blending of Pete's vocals and Linda's violin playing are spell binding. If staged correctly Liekinheitin has the potential to be a real moment not only at UMK but ESC itself. One of the first winner alerts of the season for me." ~ Srdjan
"This song is an absolute masterpiece! It is such a satisfying song to listen to time and time again - I’ll be shocked if the public and juries don’t come for this. It’s definitely got early winner feels for me." ~ Joel
"Although I don't think this is the knock out entry many think it is, I do think it's the best of the UMK entries this year. This brings drama power pop which sounds brilliant in Finnish. Add in the Violin and it's an impressive entry." ~ Dale
So there you have it - a runaway win for Linda and Pete, based on the thoughts of the Aussievision team.
