Fans think Electric Fields is representing Australia at Eurovision 2024

Yesterday, Australian broadcaster SBS released a teaser of Australia's Eurovision 2024 entry.

The very short instrumental clip had what many people described as an electronic music sound.

Obviously, there are many Aussie acts who fit that bill but a name that was on all fan lips was: Electric Fields.

X (formerly known as Twitter) was rife with rumours and strong opinions that they were the act behind the clip.

In our own poll, the duo has come out on top as the act Aussie fans want to go to Eurovision.

The fan belief is so strong that a poll we are running on our X account suggests that around 70% of fans think it is them, 23% are not sure and only around 7% believe it isn't them.

Additionally, on our Instagram account when we asked who fans through the clip was, 63% of all answers were Electric Fields.

Other names also offered were The Presets, Flume, Peach PRC and even the Wiggles.

About Electric Fields

Electric Fields are an electronic music duo which includes vocalist Zaachariaha Fielding and keyboard player and producer Michael Ross. They combine modern electriconic music with Indigenous language and culture.

They were runner-up to Kate Miller-Heidke at 'Eurovision - Australia Decides' 2019 wih their song '2000 and Whatever.'

They have collaborated with Eurovision act KEiiNO in the past and read out the votes for Australia for the 2019 Contest.

Beware of rumours and opinion

Some rumours over the years have been true including Dami Im in 2016 and Isaiah in 2017.

However, many have been incorrect. Delta Goodrem was highly anticipated for 2016 until she publicly denied it, Ricki-Lee was expected by many in 2018 and a host of names popped up last year before Voyager were announced.

Announcement tomorrow

The only way we will know for sure is when the announcement is made tomorrow. Make sure you subscribe to Aussievision social media accounts to get the latest.
