The last thing anyone likes to see when the final votes are being read out at Eurovision, is an act receiving the dreaded nul points.
But a total of 10 songs have achieved this undesirable feat so far this decade, from either the jury or televoters - or in one historic case, from both!
We’ve looked at every unlucky Eurovision act from the 2020s that endured a disappointing nul points moment.
Check out who made the infamous list!
James Newman - Embers (United Kingdom 2021)
The first (and only) song of the current decade to receive nul points from both the jury and the public. Even the audience in the arena felt sorry for him, sending love and cheers his way in support.
Jendrik - I Don’t Feel Hate (Germany 2021)
It would be wrong to say audiences hated Germany’s 2021 entry, but they certainly didn’t love it either, giving it zero points in the televote (and only 3 jury votes).
Blas Cantó - Voy a quedarme (Spain 2021)
The curse of 2021 continues! On top of a nul points televote, the Spanish entry only received 6 jury votes.
Jeangu Macrooy - Birth of a New Age (Netherlands 2021)
The nul points carnage of 2021 didn’t stop there, with the Dutch entrant at least managing to snag 11 jury votes despite getting no love from the public.
Malik Harris - Rockstars (Germany 2022)
After earning nul points from the jury, Germany couldn’t even lean on the public to prop them up, getting a lowly 6 points from the public to finish in last place overall.
Marius Bear - Boys Do Cry (Switzerland 2022)
Despite securing a solid 78 jury points, there was very little public love for this emotional man ballad, earning the infamous nul points from the televote.
Olly Alexander - Dizzy (United Kingdom 2024)
Poor United Kingdom, once again they proved unable to secure any public televotes with Dizzy. Fortunately a respectable 46 jury votes saved the UK from the disappointment of another dual nul points disaster.
Zoë Më - Voyage (Switzerland 2025)
This gorgeous tune came second in the juries with 214 points but couldn’t muster a single televote point from the public. Someone please explain to me how that makes sense because a year later I’m still scratching my head!
Remember Monday - What The Hell Just Happened? (United Kingdom, 2025)
The trio were probably asking that very question when they learned their appropriately-titled song earned them zero points from the public. At least the jury propped them up with 88 points.
Væb - Róa (Iceland 2025)
Like many tracks in the EDM genre, this song was the only entry in 2025 that failed to score a single jury vote. The public had some love to give the Icelandic boys, sending 33 points their way.
Will 2026 add any new nul pointers to the list? We’ll find out tonight (tomorrow morning Australian time)!
