Happy Canada Day! Formerly known as Dominion Day, July 1 marks the anniversary of the Canadian Confederation, which took place in 1867. It's a day to celebrate Canada's history, culture, and contributions—both at home and abroad.
At first glance, Canada and Eurovision might seem like an unlikely pair. But over the years, several Canadian artists have made their mark on the Eurovision Song Contest stage—most famously, Celine Dion, who represented Switzerland in 1988 and won with Ne partez pas sans moi.
To celebrate Canada Day, we've put together a list of Eurovision-winning songs that have charted in Canada, ranked by their peak positions on various Canadian music charts. This top 10 list includes two covers (marked with an asterisk * and eight original Eurovision-winning tracks.

10. Bobby Vinton - Save Your Kisses For Me* - 1976 - No. 98 (RPM Top Singles chart)
Not long after the release of the original of Save Your Kisses for Me by Brotherhood of Man, Bobby Vinton, released his own cover which garnered some chart success. It is only one of two Eurovision winning song covers in our list.
In Canada Bobby's Save Your Kisses for Me reached No. 98 on the RPM Top Singles chart. The song also made an appearance on the RPM Adult Contemporary chart at No. 41. In the US Bobby's reached No. 75 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
9. Lesley Gore - La La La *- 1968 - No. 86 (RPM Top Singles chart)
In 1968 a cover version of Spain's Eurovision entry La La La by Massiel made it on Canada's RPM Top Singles chart at No.86.
The song is a version in English called He Gives Me Love (La La La). by Lesley Gore. Lesley is an American singer and songwriter know for her hits It's My Party (1963) and You Don't Own Me (1963), just to name a couple.
He Gives Me Love (La La La) missed out on the US Billboard Hot 100 but it did reach the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 at No. 19.
8. Brotherhood of Man - Save Your Kisses For Me - 1976 - United Kingdom - No. 61 (RPM Top Singles chart)
Brotherhood of Man's Save Your Kisses For Me is one of the most successful Eurovision winning entries on the global music charts.
The song reached No. 1 in over ten countries and even managed to make an appearance on the RPM Top Singles chart in Canada where it peaked at No. 61. As mentioned earlier a cover version of the song by Bobby Vinton also made it on the RPM Top Singles chart where it peaked at No. 98.
7. Duncan Laurence - Arcade - 2019 - Netherlands - No. 45 (Billboard Canadian Hot 100 chart)
Canada wasn't immune to the global chart success of Arcade by Duncan Laurence after it went viral on TikTok a year after Duncan's Eurovision win.
Arcade managed to chart on the official Billboard Canadian Hot 100 chart where it peaked at No. 45.
The single managed to surpass 80,000 in sales and reached platinum status on the Canadian chart.
6. Loreen - Tattoo - 2023 - Sweden - No. 37 (Billboard Canada Digital Song Sales chart)
After Loreen secured her second Eurovision win with Tattoo she managed to chart on the Billboard Canada Digital Song Sales chart where she peaked at No. 37.
Tattoo managed a huge feat making an appearance on almost 50 music charts worldwide! Out of those charts Loreen reached No. 1 in a dozen countries.
5. Kalush Orchestra - Stefania - 2022 - Ukraine - No. 26 (Billboard Canada Digital Song Sales chart)
Stefania is one of two Eurovision winning songs to feature on our list to have landed on Canada's Billboard Canada Digital Song Sales chart.
Stefania peaked at No. 26 in Canada after Kalush Orchestra's huge win for Ukraine in 2022. The song charted in over two dozen countries worldwide and peaked at No. 1 on the Ukrainian and Lithuanian music charts.
4. Sandie Shaw - Puppet on a String - 1967 - United Kingdom - No. 13 (Canadian Singles Chart)
The United Kingdom's first Eurovision winning entry Puppet on a String became a worldwide hit charting in two dozen countries peaking at No. 1 in over half of them.
In Canada Puppet on a String made it to the top 20 with a peak position at No. 13 on the Canadian Singles Chart.
3. Celine Dion - Ne partez pas sans moi - 1988 - Switzerland - No. 10 (Quebec's ADISQ chart)
Now it wouldn't be a surprise that Canadian native Celine Dion would make this list especially after her big win at Eurovision 1988 with Ne partez pas sans moi . But Ne partez pas sans moi was not actually officially released as a single in Canada nationwide.
The winning entry did chart in Quebec though where it peaked at No. 10. Ne partez pas sans moi charted on Quebec's ADISQ chart in October 1988 where it remained for 23 weeks!
2. ABBA - Waterloo - 1974 - Sweden - No. 7 (RPM Top Singles chart)
One of the biggest Eurovision winning songs of the 20th century, ABBA's Waterloo became a chart hit sensation.
It charted in nearly two dozen countries and reached the pinnacle top spot in 10 countries which includes the UK, South Africa, Ireland and West Germany just to name a few.
In Canada Waterloo peaked at No. 7 on the RPM Top Singles chart. The single was so big that it also made an appearance on the RPM End of Year chart at No.67.
1. France Gall - Poupée de cire, poupée de son - 1965 - Luxembourg - No. 1 (Billboard French-Canada Singles Chart)
France Gall's win in 1965 with her catchy Eurovision entry Poupée de cire, poupée de son immediately shot into popularity, especially within the French speaking world.
A Billboard music magazine dated 31 July 1965 shows that Poupée de cire, poupée de son reached No. 1 on the French-Canada Singles Chart under the "Hits of the World" section of the magazine.
This was at the same time when the magazine states that on the Billboard Canadian Singles Chart Herman's Hermits was at No. 1 with I Am Henry VIII, I Am.
In Quebec, Canada on the Quebec music chart Poupée de cire, poupée de son reached No. 8 on a chart complied by ADISQ (Québec Association for the Recording, Concert and Video Industries).
The Eurovision winning song also peaked within the top 8 in music charts across 11 other countries with No. 1 spots in France and Norway.
