'Eurovision - Australia Decides' artists in 'Carols by Candlelight' and 'Carols in the Domain'



Christmas is almost upon us and in Australia it is time for the big Christmas carol events like 'Carols by Candlelight' and 'Carols in the Domain'.


This year there will be a sprinkling of Eurovision magic added to the festivities as 'Eurovision - Australia Decides' artists perform in both festive shows.

Carols by Candlelight

Televised on Saturday December 24, 8pm AEDT, Channel Nine



A milestone year for Carols by Candlelight, the '85th Vision Australia's Carols by Candlelight' will be televised on Christmas Eve throughout Australia.


The show will be hosted by David Campbell and Brooke Boney live from the Sidney Myer Music Bowl.


Artists taking part in the show, performing everyone’s favourite Christmas songs and carols, include Anthony Callea, Tim Campbell, the Central Australian Aboriginal Women’s Choir, Rob Mills, Bobby Fox, Vika & Linda Bull, Emma Watkins just to name a few.


They will be joined by familiar names from 'Eurovision - Australia Decides' Casey Donovan and Mitch Tambo. Both artists competed at the 2020 'Eurovision - Australia Decides' with Casey Donovan finishing in the runner-up spot with her power ballad entry 'Proud' and Mitch Tambo finishing in 5th place with his anthemic song 'Together'.


The event will be raising money for children who are blind or have low vision and their families. 'Carols by Candlelight' is Vision Australia’s biggest annual fundraiser for children’s services, with all of their profits from ticket sales going directly towards their cause.



Carols in the Domain

Televised on Friday December 23, 7:30pm AEDT, Channel Seven



Australia's biggest Christmas party 'Carols in the Domain' celebrates its 40th anniversary this year with a star studded line up. For the first time the event will also be streamed online for worldwide viewing.


The event will be hosted by Sunrise hosts David Koch and Natalie Barr and will feature artists Andrea Bocelli (via satellite), The Wiggles, Leo Sayer, Samantha Jade and Hugh Sheridan, just to name a few, all performing Christmas carol classics.


They will be joined by two 'Eurovision - Australia Decides' Mark Vincent and Paulini. Mark competed at the inaugural Australia Decides back in 2019 with the powerful ballad 'This Is Not the End' which finished in 7th place. Household name Paulini competed in this years Australia Decides in the Gold Coast with her superhero performance of 'We Are One'. Paulini finished in 6th place.
