Eurovision Asia 2026: Aussievision's The Sound of Vietnam song rankings
The five songs competing to represent Vietnam at the inaugural Eurovision Song Contest Asia are out, and the Aussievision team has been busy ranking them to find our favourites.
The five songs in the running are set to be performed by their internally selected artist Tóc Tiên in The Sound of Vietnam national song selection show.
Vietnam is one of eleven countries competing in Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026, which will culminate in a Grand Final in Bangkok, Thailand, on Saturday 14 November 2026.
Five Aussievision team members have ranked the Vietnamese songs from first to fifth place with points awarded from 12 points to most favourite and 4 points to least favourite (12, 10, 8, 6 and 4 points). Rankings are made on personal taste, not a prediction on how the songs will place on the night.

"A female-empowerment track that throws everything at the track and takes its audience on a wild musical journey. There are high production values with the instrumentation and the beat, and it’s awesome to hear her rap in the middle of the song. The change-up at the last minute of the song definitely keeps you interested. Yet, at least in the studio version, there’s a lack of conviction in her voice for a song that demands a brashy attitude. This would be fascinating to see how this will be performed live, especially with that hard dance beat that dominates the final minute of the song." ~ Paul

"A to A: This is a dub-step/electronic-lite song that will definitely appeal to those who want dance bangers. There’s something that’s being held back with this song on the studio version as the production sounds a little restrained – with her vocals at the forefront of the song. Nonetheless, you can definitely hear the potential for this to go absolutely off in a live show where the beats will kick in and enhance her wonderful voice." ~ Paul

"Em Tiến stands out with its traditional touches and percussive sound, giving it a distinctive character. It feels less generic and more personality-led than conventional Eurovision pop." ~ Michael

A brilliant combination of East and West instrumentals that really kicks in from the get-go. How this will go live is the question – nonetheless, it is an addictive song that will definitely be a fan-favourite for a long time to come." ~ Paul

How to watch the The Sound of Vietnam national final
The Sound of Vietnam will take place on 3 October 2026 with the show beginning at 21:30 ICT Vietnam time, 16:30 CEST Europe time and 4 October at 12:30am AEST for Eurovision fans following from Australia.
The show will be available to watch live on the Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel.
