Eurovision Asia 2026: Aussievision’s song rankings for Voice of Bangladesh

The ten acts competing in Voice of Bangladesh, Bangladesh’s national selection night for the first Eurovision Song Contest Asia have been out for a while now, and with the show on tonight, a group of Aussievision team members have ranked them to see which are our favourites.
Bangladesh will become the seventh country to select its Eurovision Asia entry for the year after Bhutan, Malaysia, The Philippines, South Korea, Laos and Thailand did so over the last two months.
Voice of Bangladesh takes place tonight, Wednesday September 30 at 8:50pm BST, 12:50am AEST Thursday for fans on Australia’s East coast.
So, who topped our rankings? Let’s see who our favourite to win the inaugural edition of Voice of Bangladesh is here at Aussievision, after we ranked them on the regular scale from 12 points down to 1.

10th: Nami Imran Sharot – Onushilon (18 points)

9th: Benazir Zilani – Ghum Chokh Raat (22 points)

8th: Lubaina Afnan – Dishehara (25 points)

7th: Krishnan Barman – Kachuri Ful (27 points)

“This beautiful and ethereal song gave me such wonderful chills. Mixing in traditional folk melodies with soft contemporary pop beats, this song just gives off a tranquil and peaceful vibe. A genuinely beautiful song that I did not want to end.” - Paul
6th: SUBCONSCIOUS – Janalachobi (32 points)
Highs: 8 from Paul, 7 from Will.
Lows: 2 from Hayley.
“This Bangladeshi band is serving something not too dissimilar to what you’d hear from European and Latin American bands of the 90s. Melancholic, expressive, and something that is both accessible and familiar to an international audience, while serving Bengali language and culture at the same time. They sound like they could (or should!) have been touring at massive stadiums across the world for multiple decades.” – Paul
5th: Beatmosphere – Tumi Ele (32 points)
Highs: 10 from Will.
Lows: 3 from Kyriakos.
“Such a strong contender for me, I love the way they made the beatboxing and acapella really work here.” – Will
“Now this is quite a lovely and risky song – which is uniquely brave. Acapella and beatboxing songs need to be note perfect (as this song is!) otherwise it falls apart. While the studio version is heavenly on the ears, it would be extremely fascinating to see how this will be presented live. It could either landslide for the win or be absolutely buried on the night depending on how the live performance goes. And, this is the kind of risk that will be engaging to watch.” – Paul
4th: The Kushiyara Waves – Mashuk Dhiyan (35 points)
Highs: 8 from Hayley, 7 from Kyriakos and Paul.
Lows: 2 from Srdjan.
“The mix of male and female vocals, that soft beat, and soft instrumental is pure bliss. This fusion of jazz, Bangladeshi instrumentals and lyrics, and easy listening lulls you into this hypnotic trance where you’re just enraptured for the three minutes. How this will go on stage is a mystery, but the studio version is a vibe!” – Paul
3rd: Nusrat Jahan – Desi Star (49 points)
Highs: 10 from Dale, Hayley and Kyriakos.
Lows: 3 from Paul.
“This gave me Moldova national final accordian energy and I don't mean that as a slur. It's fun, catchy little pop and it's one of the songs I'll definitely seek out after the contest.” – Dale

“This song is so catchy. Would be happy to see this win. There is so much movement in the music and the song goes places. It's refreshing to listen to.” – Kyriakos
2nd: Vintage Theory – BOOMERANG! (51 points)

“It almost reminds me of Joker Out, love the vibe of it and could be a fan favourite much like Joker Out were if it makes it to Bangkok.” – Will
“OBSESSED! This is so good - is this from Triple J? Its upbeat, catchy as heck and very familiar! This honestly is the last thing I would have expected from Bangladesh. I am going to check out their other songs!” – Hayley
“A catchy very well produced throwback rock entry, this would be another good choice for Bangladesh.” – Srdjan
1st: Pulak Adhikary – Anari Majhi (57 points)
Highs: 12 from Srdjan, Dale, Kyriakos and Paul.

“Ethnic, catchy and upbeat, what's not to love? This song caught my attention from the very beginning and is the clear choice for Bangladesh if they want to be competitive in November.” – Srdjan
“This has everything - a dramatic vocal opening, male vocal, female vocal, rap, big instrumental production - it just sounds like a SHOW and has so much infectious energy I fell for it immediately. I can't wait to see it live.” – Dale
“This entry is so different to everything else on offer and stands out. I love the rapping and then traditional elements and singing. I would love to see this go to Bangkok.” – Kyriakos
“This goes from showcasing his phenomenal traditional vocals to a Bangladeshi pop banger. This is showcasing his versatility as an artist, from hypnotising vocals to rapping in English. A phenomenal musical journey that is both accessible to an international audience, while also proudly showcasing Bangladeshi culture and a wonderful artist. A great song that deserves to be on an international stage.” – Paul

For audiences on Australia’s East coast, the broadcast will begin at 12:50am AEST, Thursday, October 1. The show will be available to watch on the Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel.
Voting will be the same as with the other national finals, with 8 free votes for each fan to distribute between at least 3 different acts, and up to 10 additional votes available for each fan to purchase and cast. You can vote here.
