San Marino's history at Eurovision is one of fierce dedication rather than consistent success. Since their debut at Eurovision in 2008, the micro-nation has participated at the contest every year with the exceptions of 2009 and 2010, making it to the final just four times. Their debut entry, Complice by Italian-San Marinese band Miodio placed last out of 43 countries.

Eurovision's smallest participant has earnt itself a character of always delivering fun, interesting, and unique performances. Their best result to-date is 19th place when Serhat performed Say Na Na Na in Tel Aviv in 2019.

Other noteable San Marinese entries include 2026 representative Senhit and Flo Rida with Adrenalina from 2021, and of course Valentina Monnetta's four-time catalgoue with The Social Network Song (2012), Crisalide (Vola) (2013), Maybe (2014), and Spirit of the Night (2017).
