Eurovision 2025: What's on in Basel for fans?

There is more than just the live shows during Eurovision week, we've put together the list of the best things on for fans.


Official Eurovision events


Opening ceremony and turquoise carpet - Sunday 11 May


The Turquoise Carpet event at Eurovision 2025 will take place in Basel on Sunday, 11 May. It starts at the Basel Town Hall, goes over the Middle Bridge via tram, and finishes at Messe Basel.


All the artists competing in Eurovision will walk the carpet with their teams.


Eurovision Village - 10 to 17 May


The Eurovision Village, located in the, MesseQuartier offers a daily programme of live concerts, food and other activities.

Former Eurovision artists will perform including:


10 May - Remo Forer and Tanja Dankner

11 May - Luca Hanni

12 May - Conchita Wurst and Timebelle

14 May - Michael Schulte,


While there will be a range of other events including a 90s dance party featuring SNAP! and Rednex on 16 May.



Eurovision Square - 10 to 17 May

An open air stage on Barfüsserplatz with acts playing daily to a diverse range of themes from jazz to Eurovision and even hip hop.



EuroClub - 10 to 17 May


EuroClub will be held Event Hall, Messe with nightly acts.


Some artists confirmed include Gjon's Tears, Gustaph and Jerry Heil.

Unofficial Eurovision events


EuroFANSClub


Another club of nightly events and watch parties. Artists include Efendi and Kaleen and Wednesday will also see the annual Wiwijam hosted by Wiwibloggs.



House of Helvetica (Wiwibloggs) - 10 to 17 May


Wiwibloggs are hosting their annual week of events, this time at Helvetia Campus in the auditorium.


Eurovision 2025 aritst attend for around an hours for an interview, some music performances and pics may be available.



Eurovision Conference - Eurovisions - 13 to 14 May


A free international conference discussing a variety of things related to Eurovision.


The conference says: We're not a fan of hour-long monologues about highly scientific topics, but we don't want to keep it shallow and boring either. The conference is supposed to be enjoyable and beneficial for anyone, no matter the previous knowledge.


The topic of the conference is Un)Fairness in Music – and the Eurovision Song Contest and will be held at Department of Musicology, University of Basel​ (Musikwissenschaftliches Seminar, Universität Basel).
