Eurovision 2022: Our public poll results

Over the last week we have asked fans from Australia (and abroad) the songs they would most likely vote for as part of our public poll.

Each fan was given up to 10 televotes to use in any way they like, including voting for an entry more than once .

This was to help replicate the actual public vote, rather than 12, 10, 8 points etc, and to match Eurovision rules Australia was not included (as we are mainly an Aussie related Eurovision site).

240 fans took part with 2,336 individual votes including 1,290 from Australia.

The results are in and here is how Australia voted from 39th down to 1st, with regional breakdowns by State/Territory and comparison to international votes for the Top 10 (unfortunately South Australia, Northern Territory and Tasmania could not be included in the regional breakdown because of the number of votes).

So there you have it, Sweden is Australia and Europe's favourite entry so far this Eurovision season.

But with just three votes separating the top three, it was very closely run affair.

Additionally, there were regional wins for Spain, UK, Czech Republic and Albania which shows there is diverse taste and potentially some surprising results.

Who will take out the title in Turin, we have just over a month to find out!
