About the artist

Daði og Gagnamagnið is a group consisted of lead singer Daði Freyr and a group called Gagnamagnið (The Data) - Árný Fjóla Ásmundsdóttir (wife of Daði), Sigrún Birna Pétursdóttir (Daði's sister) and Hulda Kristín Kolbrúnardóttir, Stefán Hannesson and Jóhann Sigurður Jóhannson, who are all friends of Daði and Árný.

Daði og Gagnamagnið first attempted to represent Iceland back in 2017, where they competed in the Icelandic national final with the song 'Is This Love?', ultimately finished second.

They won the Icelandic national final last year and were due to represent Iceland last year at the contest before it was ultimately cancelled with one of the fan favourites 'Think About Things'.

The Icelandic broadcaster RÚV internally selected the group for this year’s contest back in October.

About the song

10 Years tells the tale of the relationship between Daði and Árný. The heartfelt lyrics of the song describe how the "good thing" that they’ve got going is "ageing like wine". The song was written by Daði.
