Estonian broadcaster ERR has announced the names of the artists competing in the 2026 edition of their Eurovision national selection show Eesti Laul.
This announcement was made on Estonian TV show Ringvaade, where on Thursday and Friday night European time, the names of the 12 songs and artists competing in the final were revealed.
In addition to the artist announcement, the titles of the songs hoping to represent Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna, Austria, were also released.
12 songs were chosen from 171 entries submitted to the competition by a 34-member professional jury, who voted on the songs without knowing the artists or songwriters.
This jury featured some famous Estonian Eurovision stars, including Ines, who came fourth representing Estonia in the 2000 Eurovision Song Contest with her entry Once In A Lifetime, as well as Eesti Laul 2025 superfinalists An-Marlen and Andrei Zevakin.
Of the songs submitted to the Eesti Laul 2026 competition, 77 are in Estonian and 94 are in foreign languages, including English. In addition to Estonian authors, songs have been submitted from 20 countries, including not only other European nations, but also Brazil and Australia.
Former Eurovision artists
Among the lineup are some big names, including former Eurovision act Vanilla Ninja.
Hailing from Estonia, the band Vanilla Ninja competed in Estonia's national selection Eurolaul in 2003 with their debut single Club Kung Fu, which received the most telephone votes. They did not go to Eurovision for Estonia, however, because the winning artist of Eurolaul was chosen by a jury instead of a televote.
Vanilla Ninja represented Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005, with their entry Cool Vibes finishing in eighth place in Kyiv.
Vanilla Ninja will compete in the Eesti Laul 2026 final with the song Too Epic To Be True.
Also announced as part of the lineup this year is the Estonian Eurovision star Getter Jaani.
Getter Jaani represented Estonia at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest with her entry Rockefeller Street coming in 24th place in Düsseldorf.
Despite Rockefeller Street finishing in second-last place in the final at Eurovision, the song has gone on to become a popular internet meme.
Getter Jaani will take part in the Eesti Laul 2026 final with the song The Game.
Stig Rästa, who represented Estonia at Eurovision in 2015 as part of the duet with Elina Born, Goodbye to Yesterday, is teaming up with fellow former Eurovision artist Victor Crone, who flew the flag for Estonia in 2019 with his entry Storm.
The duo is collaborating with Stockholm Cowboys on their Eesti Laul 2026 entry Last Man Standing.
Other names of note
Eesti Laul 2023 and 2024 runner-up OLLIE will return to the Estonian national selection with his song Slave.
Also returning to Eesti Laul for the fifth time is Eesti Laul veteran Grete Paia with her song Taevas jäi üles. Andres Kõpper (Tenfold Rabbit, Meelik) is also making a comeback to Eesti Laul, this time under his stage name NÖEP, with the song Days Like This.
ANT will be taking part in Eesti Laul for the second time, collaborating with fellow Eesti Laul returnees Minimal Wind on their Eesti Laul 2026 entry Wounds (Don't Wanna Fall).
Laura Prits will be participating in Eesti Laul for the second time as a solo artist and third time overall with her song Warrior. She previously participated in 2017 with the song Hey Kiddo, and in 2020 as the lead singer of the band Ziggy Wild with Lean On Me.
Robert Linna is also returning to Eesti Laul, this time as a solo artist after his previous 2021 participation with his father, Ivo Linna, who represented Estonia at Eurovision in 1996. Robert Linna hopes to follow in his father's footsteps and represent Estonia with his Eesti Laul 2026 entry Metsik roos.
Some eagle-eyed fans may also remember Marta Pikani participating in Eesti Laul as part of the band Wiiralt - she will make her debut as a solo artist in the upcoming selection.

The 12 finalists will compete for the right to represent Estonia at Eurovision in the Eesti Laul final on Saturday 14th February 2026 European time (Sunday 15th February Australian time), where the winner will fly the Estonian flag at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna.
