I'm not gonna lie, I am also a metal head. And before you ask HOW someone can love both Eurovision and metal, trust me, it's a thing - it's just about having a diverse range of musical taste!

We all know who Danny Estrin is. SBS commentator, Eurovision lover, metal-head, Voyager frontman. So who better to give us his favourite five Eurovision metal bangers than Danny? Here they are!

Blind Channel - Dark Side (Finland, 2021)

"These nu-metal legends came tearing up the place."

"It didn't win Eurovision but it absolutely won them metal hearts."

AWS - Viszlát Nyár (Hungary, 2018)

"Mate this thing hit - screams, breakdowns, pure emotion. Eurovision doesn't get much heavier than that."

Wig Wam - In my dreams (Norway, 2005)

"Huge hooks, massive riffs, hairspray levels at critical mass, honestly, that song still rips."

Måneskin - Zitti E Buoni (Italy, 2021)

"Took a page from Wig Wam's book but knew just how to take out the win. How? Introduce more leather of course."

Honourable mentions

Voyager - Promise (Australia, 2023)

"I mean Voyager 2023, no bias whatsoever. Just incredible hair, tasteful keytar usage and a very handsome vocalist."

Hatari - Hatrið Mun Sigra (Iceland, 2019)

Eldrine - One More Day (Georgia, 2011)

Danny's no. 1 Eurovision metal song - Lordi - Hard Rock Hallelujah (Finland, 2006)

"Monsters, riffs, pyro, Eurovision history."

"Finland gave metal heads the greatest gift imaginable in 2006!"

What I like about this star wars name generator is that the names feel balanced — not too complicated, but still unique enough for gaming accounts or roleplay characters.
